Polyurethane Destroys Building in Connecticut

NBC Connecticut reported that “Polyurethane foam insulation in the attic of a Middlebury mansion spontaneously combusted Thursday evening, causing the house to go up in flames and destroying the multi-million-dollar mansion, according to fire officials.”

Polyurethane spray foam insulation, also referred to as “solid gasoline’ by Doug Stewart of Federated Insurance of Canada, has destroyed yet another building.
